Food
Collection Baskets: The Missions Committee has launched an
ongoing food collection to be distributed by the Oak Cliff
Churches for Emergency Aid (OCCEA). OCCEA, established 27
years ago, is a collective effort of more than 30 churches
providing emergency aid to hundreds of persons each month.
The all-volunteer staff utilizes volunteers to run the
distribution facility located in the Oak Cliff Presbyterian
Church at Hampton and Hwy. 67. The food collection baskets
are at the entrances to the sanctuary every Sunday to remind
us to keep the needy in our prayers and on our grocery
lists. Reminder grocery lists are available to take home. |

Hymn
Sing and Ice Cream Social:
Every fifth Sunday at 6:00 pm we gather in the sanctuary to
sing all our old favorite hymns. Folks from all over the
community join in this fun event. Everyone is welcome.
Practice a solo, join a friend in a duet, or bring an
ensemble to sing. Dust off your trumpet or drums. This is
your time to perform. Think about a hymn that you really
miss singing, and request it during the evening. After we
are nearly hoarse from singing, we adjourn to the Fellowship
Hall for a cool bowl of ice cream and cookies. |
|
Nursery:
A nursery is available for children ages 4 years old and
under. Our member and staff person, Laura Fannin, is our
experienced childcare provider and leads this ministry.
Children are encouraged to stay in the worship service until
after the children's message, however very small children
may want to go over to the nursery at the start of the
service. The nursery is located in the Cottage beside the
church. |
